Features

50mm Athermalized Lens with an 8.8° Narrow Field of View

The module features a 50mm F1.0 athermalized lens with an 8.8° horizontal and 7.0° vertical field of view. Compared with shorter focal length models, this configuration covers a smaller observation area at the same distance, making it suitable for thermal imaging systems requiring focused scene coverage.

640×512 Thermal Imaging with a 10m Minimum Focus Distance

Equipped with a 12μm VOx uncooled infrared detector, the module delivers 640×512 thermal images at 25fps, with NETD ≤40mK (F1.0, 25°C). The lens supports autofocus and has a minimum focusing distance of 10m, an important consideration when selecting the module for different installation distances.

Multi-Area Temperature Measurement

The module supports 10 temperature measurement areas and full-screen maximum/minimum temperature positioning. Measurement ranges include -20°C to 150°C and 0°C to 550°C, with an optional 400°C to 1600°C range. The specified accuracy is ±2°C or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater.

UVC Output and Mechanical Integration

The camera supports UVC output and optional BT.1120, BT.656, MIPI, DVP, HDMI, and USB interfaces. With dimensions of 101.6 × Φ58.4mm, a weight of 200g, and 4.4W power consumption, the module provides defined electrical and mechanical specifications for integration into compatible thermal imaging equipment.

Applications

Narrow-Field Thermal Surveillance

The 50mm lens and 8.8° horizontal field of view make this module relevant to surveillance systems requiring thermal observation of selected areas. Compared with shorter focal length models, it provides narrower scene coverage at the same observation distance.

Fixed-Position Temperature Monitoring

With a minimum focusing distance of 10m and support for 10 temperature measurement areas, the module can be considered for fixed-position thermal monitoring equipment. Its maximum/minimum temperature positioning functions support observation of temperature distribution within the captured scene.

Thermal Camera and PTZ System Integration

The module supports UVC output, autofocus, and optional video interfaces for integration into compatible thermal imaging and PTZ equipment. Developers should consider its 200g weight, DC 12V power supply, and 4.4W power consumption when planning the system configuration.

FAQ

What is the field of view of the 50mm thermal imaging module?
The 50mm F1.0 lens provides an 8.8° horizontal and 7.0° vertical field of view. This narrower viewing angle is suitable for thermal imaging systems focused on selected observation areas.

How does the 50mm lens differ from the 35mm version?
Both modules support 640×512 thermal imaging at 25fps. The 50mm version has a narrower horizontal field of view of 8.8°, compared with 12.4° on the 35mm model. It also has different dimensions, weight, and power requirements.

What is the minimum focusing distance of this module?
The specified minimum focusing distance is 10m. The module supports autofocus, and equipment developers should consider this distance when determining camera placement.

Does the module support high-temperature measurement?
Yes. The standard listed measurement ranges are -20°C to 150°C and 0°C to 550°C. An additional 400°C to 1600°C range is available as an optional configuration.

What are the module's power and installation requirements?
The module operates on DC 12V with 4.4W power consumption. It measures 101.6 × Φ58.4mm and weighs 200g. Future Vision can provide technical documentation for evaluating integration requirements.
