Applications

Focused Thermal Monitoring of Specific Areas

The 35mm lens provides a 12.4° horizontal field of view for thermal imaging systems requiring concentrated observation of selected areas. Compared with the 25mm version, its narrower field of view covers a smaller scene at the same distance, allowing more detector pixels to be allocated to a target of the same size.

Industrial Thermal Observation Equipment

The module can be considered for industrial equipment designed to monitor temperature distribution within defined observation zones. Its 10 temperature measurement areas and maximum/minimum temperature positioning functions support multi-point thermal monitoring within the captured image.

Compact Thermal Camera System Integration

The module combines a 35mm athermalized lens, autofocus, UVC output, and a compact cylindrical structure. These features provide options for developers integrating thermal imaging into compatible inspection, monitoring, and camera systems.

FAQ

How does the 35mm thermal module differ from the 25mm version?
Both modules feature 640×512 resolution and 25fps thermal imaging. The 35mm model has a narrower horizontal field of view of 12.4°, compared with 17.46° on the 25mm model, making it suitable for more focused thermal observation at the same working distance.

What is the field of view of the 35mm thermal lens?
The 35mm F1.0 lens provides a diagonal field of view of 16.05°, with 12.4° horizontally and 9.9° vertically. These values help equipment developers evaluate camera placement and scene coverage.

Does this module support multiple temperature measurement areas?
Yes. It supports 10 temperature measurement areas and full-screen maximum/minimum temperature positioning. The specified measurement accuracy is ±2°C or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater.

Is the high-temperature measurement range included as standard?
The module lists measurement ranges of -20°C to 150°C and 0°C to 550°C. An additional 400°C to 1600°C range is optional and should be confirmed when selecting the product configuration.

What are the power and interface requirements?
The module uses a DC 12V power supply with power consumption of ≤0.8W. It supports UVC output, while BT.1120, BT.656, MIPI, DVP, HDMI, and USB are listed as optional interfaces. Future Vision can provide technical documentation for integration evaluation.
