The camera features a 6.4–256mm lens with 40X optical zoom and 16X digital zoom. Its 55.6°–1.7° field of view provides flexibility for wide-area monitoring and narrower telephoto observation, making it suitable for surveillance systems requiring adjustable viewing distances.
A 1/2-inch 2MP global shutter sensor supports 1920 × 1080 video at 50/60fps. This combination helps reduce motion-related geometric distortion while providing high-frame-rate video for observing moving subjects at different zoom settings.
Super Starlight imaging, 120dB WDR, and 3D DNR provide adjustment options for low-light and high-contrast environments. Electronic defog, distortion correction, and optical defog support further image optimization under different viewing conditions.
The camera supports 500 presets, eight cruise scans, VISCA and Pelco-D/P protocols, and multiple video interfaces. These functions provide integration options for compatible PTZ, speed dome, and other camera systems. Future Vision also supports OEM/ODM customization.

The module supports integration into compatible PTZ and speed dome cameras. Its zoom capabilities, preset positions, cruise scans, and supported control protocols allow equipment developers to configure optical observation and positioning functions.
What is the optical zoom range of this 40X camera module?
The camera provides 40X optical zoom with a 6.4–256mm focal length and 16X digital zoom. Its field of view ranges from 55.6° at the wide end to 1.7° at the telephoto end.
How does the 40X model differ from the 36X Global Shutter High FPS camera?
Both models feature 2MP global shutter imaging and 50/60fps video output. The 40X model offers a longer 256mm telephoto focal length, compared with 216mm on the 36X model, providing a narrower telephoto field of view.
Does the camera support high-frame-rate imaging for moving subjects?
Yes. The camera supports 1920 × 1080 Full HD video at 50/60fps. Combined with global shutter imaging, this helps reduce motion-related geometric distortion when observing moving subjects.
Can the 40X zoom block camera be integrated into PTZ systems?
Yes. The module supports VISCA and Pelco-D/P control protocols, 500 presets, eight cruise scans, and multiple video interfaces. Compatibility should be checked against the intended PTZ control system and hardware configuration.
Does Future Vision provide customization for this camera?
Yes. Future Vision supports OEM/ODM customization. Customers can provide their required video interface, installation conditions, and application details for configuration discussions.
