The 36X 2MP Global Shutter High FPS Zoom Block Camera combines a 1/2-inch global shutter sensor with Full HD video output at 50/60fps. The global shutter design helps reduce motion-related image distortion, while the higher frame rate provides more frames for observing moving subjects compared with 25/30fps models.
Featuring a 6–216mm lens, the camera offers 36X optical zoom and 16X digital zoom, with a field of view from 54.5° to 1.95°. This allows the imaging system to adjust between wider scene coverage and narrower views of distant subjects.
The camera supports Super Starlight imaging, 120dB WDR, 3D DNR, and electronic defog for varying lighting conditions. It also provides multiple IP-based output configurations, a 36-pin interface, and VISCA/Pelco-D/P protocol support for integration into compatible camera systems.

Q1. What is the practical difference between this global shutter model and the super starlight models in the same range?
The super starlight models are tuned for sensitivity in near-static scenes. This model is tuned for motion fidelity through a 1/2" global shutter sensor at up to 60fps. If the camera stays still and the scene is dark, super starlight is the better fit. If the camera moves, or the subject moves fast, the global shutter is the reason to choose this one.
Q2. Does it really output 1080p at 60fps?
Yes, on the main stream. At 60Hz the main stream runs 60fps at 1920 × 1080 and 1280 × 720; at 50Hz it runs 50fps at the same resolutions. The second and third streams run 30fps at 60Hz and 25fps at 50Hz, which is normally the right split — full frame rate for recording and analysis, lower frame rate for preview and mobile viewing.
Q3. Which output variant should I order — W, D, M, H, S or C?
-W is IP only. -D adds LVDS, -M adds MIPI, -H adds HDMI, -S adds SDI, -C adds CVBS, all with IP retained. Choose according to what the host board or the display chain accepts. All six share the same optical and imaging core, so the choice does not affect image quality.
Q4. Can it replace the block camera in an existing PTZ design?
That is what the 36-pin FFC is for. The interface is PIN-to-PIN compatible and supports HIK protocol, so the physical connection and host firmware typically carry over. Control is via VISCA or Pelco-D/P, which covers most PTZ controllers already in the field.
